WildlifeKate Live Cameras

I have set wildlife cameras up at my home in South Wales, at Yew View (a large private site I manage for wildlife) and in other locations in the UK and further afield. Each live stream has a dedicated page, providing more information and footage captures. I will be regularly adding to these.

During the nesting season,  more cameras will come on line, allowing you to follow the nesting stories of different species.

I also, share some of my favourite cams from other parts of the world, with permission from the providers!

I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I do!

Gwyllt Hollow Woodland feeders

These feeders are hung in the far end of part of the garden, which borders on to the woodland of the nature reserve.

Thank you to Hikvision, who have lent me this super PTZ cam, allowing me to move the cam around the area & zoom in on visitors

Gwyllt Hollow 'Finches Friend' Feeders

This camera is a collaboration with 'Finches Friend' who produce a selection of feeders that I really like. They are well made, easy to clean and actively designed to reduce the likelihood of bird disease at your feeders.

Gwyllt Hollow Crate Feeding Station

This feeding station has been created using a repurposed dog crate. Using a set-up such as this means that the larger species such as corvids, pigeons and squirrels cannot get in, allowing smaller birds to feed in peace.

Gwyllt Hollow You Tube Live stream

I am experimenting with live streaming cameras through YouTube, so I can bring you new cameras quickly!  This live stream will vary greatly from single cameras, to changes throughout the day, depending on what is happening here at Gwyllt Hollow. At night, most evenings, you will be able to watch a badger visit my feeding station.

Gwyllt Hollow Mammal Box

This camera is inside a special box, with lights and two small entrances. Small mammals visit here day and night to see what food is on offer.

It's been my first nesting season here at Gwyllt Hollow and I've been pretty pleased. I have had 2 failed tit nests, but successful blue tit, great tit, nuthatch and wren nests with cameras on them. I've learnt a lot this year and will look forward to greater things next year!

Boot Wrens

Raised in an old walking boot, this pair successfully fledged 4 chicks

Great tits

This great tit pair raised their family in a bespoke , lined nest box that I built

Sitting Room Nuthatches

Nuthatches raised their family in this novel, furnished nest box apartment!

Blue tits

Blue tits successfully raised their family in this bespoke - built box at the top of my quarry

YEW VIEW  CAMERAS

Yew View is a site I work at in Worcestershire. It is 9 acres managed with wildlife in mind. My move to S Wales has meant that I can't get there every week now, but I am still trying to be on site 2 or 3 times a month, to maintain the cameras and create new habitats for wildlife.

This feeding station is set up in a repurposed dog crate. This keeps squirrels and largers birds away from the feeders & allows smaller species to feed in peace.

Yew View

Badger Feeding Station

Many of you will have seen the story of the Yew View badger cubs on Springwatch. In 2022, Peggy gave birth in our artificial sett; something that had never been filmed before!

You can watch Peggy and the cubs, along with foxes and muntjac, visit the feeding station in the evenings.

Yew View

Feeders

These feeders are on a wild flower bank at Yew View and attract a wide variety of species. You may see muntjac deer too, as they sometimes visit under the feeders. You may even see a badger pass too!

Hillock Head

Feeding Station

This feeding platform is up at Dolphin View Holiday Cottages, on the Black Isle in Scotland. It is a remote site, surrounded by scrub & forest and attracts lots of species, especially in the winter. Watch out for the regular visits from a pine marten after dark!

GUEST LIVE CAMERAS

There are some amazing live wildlife cameras online, some in different parts of the world, that I absolutely love. Many are run by enthusiasts, like myself. In all cases, I contact the owner and ask if they would allow me to share their camera with my audience. Check out the pages to find out more about them! As many are in a different time zone, it allows us to watch daytime wildlife when it is dark here. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

GUEST cam

Allen Cam - South Africa

This wonderful camera set-up with its incredible visitors is the work of Stuart Allen. I absolutely love them & I'm delighted to share them with you here on my website!

The feeding station attracts a mind-blowing array of birds during the day and then fabulous nocturnal visitors at night.

GUEST cam

Scott's Birdwatching HQ - Ohio, USA

Scott's wonderful live feeding station is a delight to watch after it is dark here in the UK. He lives in northeast Ohio in a residential neighbourhood near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. His live bird cam provides a great opportunity to observe wildlife up close and to learn about common bird species of the eastern United States.

Enjoying my live cams?

Any donations, however small, towards my costs, are most welcome.
